I worked with travel agents long before I became one. The first one promised onboard credit that never appeared. The second sold me insurance that didn't cover what I actually needed. The third, when our cruise was rerouted mid-sailing and I called for help, said, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?"
I remember thinking that none of this was hard. It just required someone who cared enough to do it right. So I became that person. That was eleven years ago. A2Z Travel Design started on a simple premise: I'm here to make travel easy for the people I work with. Solve the problem before it reaches you. Answer the question the same day. Tell you the truth about a property even when it's not what you were hoping to hear. Be reachable while you're away, because that's when it counts.
HOW I WORK NOW
How I work now
I call myself a travel designer rather than a travel agent because the work is different. An agent books what you ask for. I design what you'll actually enjoy, then book it, then stay with it. Most of my clients come back. Several have been with me for years and have stopped asking to see the alternatives. That trust is the thing I'm proudest of, and it's earned one trip at a time. I'm based in New York, and my clients live all over the country. Some of them I've never met in person. It has never made a difference.
